Evelyn Goodwyn Sturt

Evelyn Goodwyn Sturt, 90, of McKenney, VA, widow of the late Samuel G. Sturt, Jr., passed away Friday, December 10, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Waverly Meade and Ruby Jacobs Goodwyn of Stony Creek.

Evelyn is survived by three children, Samuel G. Guy Sturt III(Peggy), Betty Sturt Rapp(George) and Allye Sturt Coleman(Barry); five grandchildren, George Miles Rapp(Leavelle), Samuel G. Sturt IV(Julie), Dan Rapp, Margaret S. Gallagher(Drew) and Jessica Coleman Wall(Joey); six wonderful great grandchildren whom will miss her greatly. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was a lifelong member with Concord Presbyterian Church of Rawlings, VA.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Sunday, December 12, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road, Bus. Hwy. 460, near Blackstone. A private family funeral service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010, at the Sturt Family Cemetery in McKenney.
