Evelyn Phillips Fleming, 87, of Amelia, went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Motiah Hobson Fleming. She is survived by her two daughters, June F. Eanes and Aggie F. Blocker and husband, Rick; two grandsons, James T. Eanes and Kevin H. Kelly; one sister, Estelle P. Flowers and husband, Paul; one sister-in-law, Minnie F. Statom; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a life-long member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Mannboro, where she touched many lives through her service and friendship.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday, June 17, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road, Blackstone, VA, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 11 A.M., followed by interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackstone.
The family wishes to thank her special caregiver, Linda, and the many wonderful Hospice workers who provided such warm and loving care, especially Norma and Karen.
