Eva Irby Knott, 75, of Blackstone, VA and widow of John Knott Sr. died Friday, March 14, 2008.
She was the daughter of the late Willie Alma Lloyd and Earl Howard Irby and also predeceased by a brother, Vernon Earl Irby.
Eva is survived by her two children, Frances K. Woodworth of Springfield, VA and Cairo, Egypt. and Earl H. Knott Sr. and his wife, Cindy of Blackstone, VA; three stepchildren, John Knott Jr. of Mobile, Alabama, Sophie Lee of Carson, VA, and William Knott; and eight grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister, Myrtle Irby; and brothers, Darrell, Harry and William Irby, Sr., all of Lunenburg Co., VA.
A Mass of Ressurrection will be conducted by Reverend John Kloepfer at the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Catholic Church in Blackstone at 10 A.M., Monday, March 17, 2008. Burial rites will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Petersburg with Rev. Dr. Ted Owens, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 P.M., Sunday, March 16, at Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Bus. Hwy. 460, near Blackstone.
