Elizabeth G. Bell

Elizabeth Gunn Bell, age 87, of Blackstone, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James H. Bell; her two daughters, Judy Bell Armes (Tommy) of Blackstone and Mitzi Bell Thackston (Chris) of Farmville; her sister, Inez Chiles of Blackstone; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many relatives; her church family and many friends.

Elizabeth was a graduate of the Blackstone College for Girls, a very devout Christian and longtime member of Blackstone Baptist Church. She was a very special person to everyone she met.

The family will receive friends 6 8 P.M., Friday, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road (Bus. Hwy. 460) near Blackstone. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Blackstone Baptist Church, 405 S. Main Street, Blackstone. Rev. Rob Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Marks Church Cemetery, Crewe, VA.
