Eleanor Grant Hudson

Eleanor Grant Hudson, age 91, of Blackstone, VA, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was a Store Clerk for many years and retired from Bevell’s Hardware Store in Blackstone. Eleanor is survived by her sons, Ray Hudson (Dottie) of Blackstone, and Carroll Allen (Sylvia) of Skipwith, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Jackie Lloyd of Petersburg; and a brother, C.B. Grant of Dinwiddie. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Richard Grant and Beatrice Ostein Grant; her son, Haynie Irby Hudson, Jr.; sisters, Gladys Grant, Jenny Mayton and Ruby Mayton; brothers, Charles Grant, Jr., Robert Grant, Sr., James Grant and George Grant. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M., Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Blackstone, VA 23824.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, in the Jonesboro Baptist Church Cemetery, 1955 Jonesboro Church Rd., Blackstone, VA 23824. Rev.
