Edward Cleveland Amos, Jr.

Edward Cleveland “Ed” Amos, Jr., 72, of Crewe, VA, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Frances Amos; and five children, Keith and Steven Amos, Trena Wyatt (Ronnie), Elgie Capps, Jr. (Ann) and Karen Whetzel (Ronnie).  Ed is also survived by seven grandchildren, Randall and Gage Amos, Travis Wyatt, Kristen Stinson, Harleigh Marion, Karlee Capps and Bobbie Johnson; two great grandchildren, Summer and Dakota Amos; and two brothers, Ralph and Raymond Amos.  Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Sr. and Margaret Spain Amos; grandsons, Ross and Ryan Marion; and sisters, Grace Kavanagh and Margaret Ann Myers.  His passions in life were his family, his grandchildren, fishing and telling jokes. 

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM, Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024 at the Crewe Chapel of the Joseph McMillian Funeral Homes, 200 W.
