Edith "Geri" Floyd

Geri Floyd, "Gran", age 77, of Blackstone, Virginia, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2008 at her home.

She is preceded in death by two children, Robin Teague and Harry Geesey Jr. and is survived by five children, Shelia Matthew of Blackstone, Lester Geesey of Crewe, Phil Geesey of Parkton, N.C., Roy Geesey of Blackstone, and Kellie Hailey of Crewe;10 grandchildren to include her special granddaughter, Heather Teague of Blackstone; 15 great grandchildren; her loving pet and companion, Ginger; and a brother, Bobby March of Baltimore, MD.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Bus. Hwy 460 near Blackstone.

Graveside funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Sunday Dec. 28, 2008 at Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone. The family requests, memorial donations may be sent to help with her expenses.
