Earl Harding Price, Jr., born on March 15, 1947 in Carson, VA, embraced eternal peace on February 18, 2024, at 5:02 pm surrounded by his loved ones at McGuire VA Hospital in Richmond, VA. He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his loving family: His daughters Tami Lowe (Dwayne Lowe), Beth Wright (Jim Wright), son Earl Harding Price III (Elizabeth “Pumpkin” Price), & His Beloved Dog Corporal Peanut. Along with grandchildren Chasidy Snead, A.J. Hughes, Shanna Hughes, Ryan Powers Jr. (J.R.), Thomas McKenzie Powers (Cookieman), Brooke Linn Premo, Skyler Wright, Earl Harding Price IV (Levi), Grayson Price, and Olivia Maureen Price. Earl’s great-grandchildren, including Ryan L. Powers III (Trace), Reese Powers, Rawlings “Leo” Powers, Reuben Powers, Kenzlee Powers, Baylee Powers, Brantlee Powers, Hallee Mae Premo, Luca Hughes, Lakeyn Hughes, Braelyn Vaughan, and Remington Vaughan (Remi), Sister Roselyn Stell, Brother Bruce Price Sr., and numerous nieces and nephews, and lifelong friend Tommy Staples will continue his memory with love.
Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Earl Harding Price, Sr. and Mary Louise Price, and siblings Jerry Price, Peggy Guilliams, Terrie Grissom, and Jannette Gupton, Earl Jr.’s life was marked by service and faith. As a Marine who served valiantly in Vietnam, he exemplified courage and honor. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was unwavering in his faith.
Earl H. Price Jr. was more than a man; he was a legend. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him, he will never be forgotten. He would give the shirt right off his back to anyone in need, through the lives he touched and the love he shared his memory will live on in honor. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived and a soul reunited with its maker.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, from 2-4 P.M., at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Blackstone, VA 23824. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, VA at 1:00 P.M. with full military honors.
