Dorothy Price Latham

Dorothy Dot Price Latham, age 73, of Blackstone, VA, passed away, Friday, July 2, 2010.

She is the widow of Earl V. Latham; Dot is survived by her three children, Sandra Bostic of North Carolina, Earl Keith Latham and Sabrina (Mutt) Whitehead, both of Blackstone; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Annie Mae Green of Blackstone, Elizabeth Woodfin of Colonial Heights, Lucille Glasco of Lawrenceville, Patricia Tharpe of Victoria, Frances Shelton of Keysville, Wilma Davis of Chase City and Peggy Ann Bowman of Victoria; four brothers, Roger Price of Ft. Mitchell, Chance Price, Jr. of Partlow, VA, Rex and Tex Price both of Victoria; numerous nieces and nephews.

She worked for 35 years and was a retired supervisor for Levi Strauss Co. Dot was called upon by many as a seamstress because of her love to sew.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 P.M. Sunday, July 4, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Bus. Hwy 460 near Blackstone. Chapel funeral services will be held Monday July 5, 2010 at 11 A.M. with interment in Lakeview Cemetery.
