Doris Cook Pridgen

Doris Cook Pridgen, 83, of Blackstone, VA, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Ray Pridgen.

Doris is survived by her sister, Barbara Crymes (Lynn) of Crewe; her brother, Glenn Cook (Joyce) of Virginia Beach; her sister-in-law, Betty Cook of Massachusetts; her lifelong friend, Mary Elizabeth Slaw of Blackstone; and her nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Monday, July 20, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd. (Bus. Hwy. 460), Blackstone, VA 23824. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone.
