David Miracle Obituary
David Lee Miracle, 80, of Crewe, Virginia, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at his home. He was a retired Sergeant First Class of the U.S. Army National Guard and was an Armament Weapons Inspector. David was retired from MATES, Virginia Army National Guard, of Fort Pickett, Blackstone, VA with over 40 years of service.
David was preceded in death by his son, David Miracle Jr.; his parents, AB and Sarah Wilder Miracle; sisters, Nancy Morris and Shirley Turner; and brother-in-law, Danny Turner.
David is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Judith C. Miracle; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Palmer Miracle; grandson, David Tyler Miracle; daughter, Barbara Turner Thorpe (Jimmy); granddaughter, Lauren Gayle Sereda (Noah); sisters, LaVerne Miller (Jimmy), Linda Morris, Pauline New, Mary Jane Caudle, and Rosalie Pettry (Larry); a cherished niece, Dorinda Dawn Corbett; extended family members, Mary and Carter Bishop; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military honors will be held in Lakeview Cemetery Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blackstone Baptist Church, 407 S. Main St., Blackstone, VA 23824. Arrangements are by the Blackstone Chapel of the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home.
