Claunch, Corey James, 72 of Burkeville passed away September 30, 2024. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Claunch. He is survived by his son Michael J. Claunch of Groundwood, TX, grandsons Christopher Claunch and Caden Claunch of Victoria, TX, sister Connie Ellerson of Burkeville, niece Darcy Schutt of Crewe and nephew Cole Owen of Burkeville, and sister Cathy Llewellyn (Tim) of Powhatan.
Corey was a longtime trucker and enjoyed Nascar racing, working on vehicles, hunting and fishing. There will be a memorial service on October 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at Emmaus Christian Church, 1801 Huguenot Trail, Powhatan, VA.
