Clester Lee Cox, Jr.

Clester L. Cox, Jr., BTC, US Navy (Ret) age 67, resident of Kenbridge, VA, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Thursday, January 26, 2012.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris Cox; daughter, Julia Rither; grandsons, Zachary Harris and Alan Rither; four sisters, Barbara Criswell, Carolyn Goben, Patty Phillips and Peggy Dugard. Clester was a Vietnam War Veteran.

The family will receive friends from 6- 8 P.M., Monday, January 30 at Grace Baptist Temple, 1010 S. Main St. Blackstone and also where funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Tuesday, January 31, 2012 with Pastor Bruce Rhew officiating. Full Military Honors and Burial will take place at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia, VA at 3 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Missionary Fund of Grace Baptist Temple.
