Charlotte Houchins Leslie, 71, of Crewe, VA, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Rhea Houchins, Jr. and Alice Kramer Houchins. Charlotte is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert A. “Bobby” Leslie, Jr.; two daughters, Alison Lewis (Kevin) of Richmond and Karen Leslie (John) of Crewe; four grandchildren, Mariko Lewis, Willow Austin, Meadow Austin and Brody Krotzer; and a brother, Charles R. Houchins, III, of Crewe. Charlotte is also survived by four nephews, Vick (Ashley), Nick, Danny (Erin) and Matt and many cousins and friends.
Charlotte grew up in Crewe, VA and went to the University of Richmond and MCV where she obtained her pharmacy degree. She was a pharmacist for over 40 years working in Amelia, Farmville, Blackstone and Crewe, gaining many life-long friends along the way. She loved photography as evidenced in the many photo books, computer drives, and digital images displayed and stored at home. She enjoyed traveling with her college friends to the beach, mountains, and Europe. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends, shopping, Christmas lights, and coffee.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road (Bus. Hwy 460) near Blackstone. Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in Crewe Cemetery, The Falls Rd., Crewe, VA 23930.
