Charles Clayton Blevins, 65, died suddenly at his home on Monday, June 7, 2010.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pamela Griffin Blevins; one son, Jeffrey Charles Blevins of Decatur, Alabama; his daughter, Kimberly B. Carter (Corey) of Midlothian, and a step-granddaughter, Kaitlynn Carter. He is also survived by two sisters, Audrey B. Gregory of Cape Charles and Emily B. Rice of Crewe; a brother, Harold Blevins of Colonial Heights, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special friends and his very faithful canine buddies, Buckley and Macey. He was predeceased by his parents, Russ and Pansey Blevins of Blackstone and a brother, Jerry Blevins of Varina.
Mr. Blevins was an army veteran and a retired employee of Dupont with 38 years of service.
Visitation will be held 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road (Bus. Hwy. 460) near Blackstone. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 10, at the funeral home.
