Carl Paul Clifton, 86, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Blackstone, VA passed away July 19, 2010.
He was the son of Robert Warsaw and Olga Clifton and the widower of Ruth Hoeft Clifton. Survivors include a son, Kenneth Paul Clifton (Satin) of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Sandra Barns (Bill) of Sedona, AZ; two granddaughters, Sara Barns of Sedona, AZ and Lisa Countryman of Phoenix, AZ; a grandson, Michael Eckert, also of Phoenix, AZ; four great-grandchildren, Rosie Countryman and Nathaniel, Aaron, and Sawyer Eckert. Also surviving Mr. Clifton are his sister-in-law, Margie Clifton and daughters Pat, Pam, and Debbie, as well as their immediate families in Virginia.
Mr. Clifton moved from Virginia to Arizona in 1958 where he worked for Sperry Phoenix and Honeywell Aerospace for 30 years. He enjoyed his koi ponds and faithful dog companions.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2010 in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackstone.
