Carl Eric Barlow

Carl Eric Barlow, 70, of Blackstone, VA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, February 6, 2026.  Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing and playing guitar for his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, humorous quick wit and giving a helping hand to anyone in need.  Carl is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Terri Delores Barlow. Carl is also survived by four children, Eric Barlow, Travis Barlow, Rose Ormond (Jeff) and Theresa Layne; grandchildren, Josey Barlow, Levi Barlow, Casey Hopkins, Scott Hopkins, Joshua Smith (Allison), James Smith, Dustin Overholt and Dakota Rhodes; four sisters, Dottie Pitts, Faye Haynes (William), Barbara Johns (Donnie), Debbie Wimmer (Dean); two brothers,  Troy Barlow (Brenda) and Richard Barlow (Becky). 

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M., Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Blackstone, VA  23824, where funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, February 13, 2026.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone. www.mcmillianfuneralhome.com
