Billy N. Jones

Billy N. Jones, age 82, of Gaffney, S.C., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 22, 2007. He was preceded in death by a son, Reginald "Buddy" Jones; his parents, Joel P. and Alice M. Jones; his sisters, Darcus Jones, Shannon Rothell, Lucille Summitt and Martha Lovelace; his brothers, Zero, Bobby, Carlo and John Jones.

Billy was a retired carpenter. He truly loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Billy lived every day to tell someone about the Lord. He enjoyed church, gospel music, gardening, fishing, working in his wood shop and visiting with his family and friends.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Wanda Campbell and husband, Ronald of Wilson, VA; sons, Jeffery Jones and wife, Jeanette of Brighton, CO and Bradley Jones of Denver, CO; his brother, J.P. Jones, Jr. and wife, Sara of Lawndale, NC; a grandson, Ray Ellis of Wilsons, VA; his granddaughters, Janet Canaday and husband, Kevin of Bernville, PA, Tracie Sack and husband, Gary of Keensburg, CO, Dawn Gerk and husband, Troy of Sterling, CO; great-grandchildren, Krystal Major, Brittney Ellis, Kristen Canaday, Tyler and Lindsey Sack; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery in Darvills, VA with the Rev. Dr. Ted Owens officiating.

A memorial service will also be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 6, 2007, at the Pacolet Road Baptist Church, 1104 Pacolet Hwy., Gaffney, SC 29340 with Pastor Jimmy Powell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sharon Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 4111 Darvills Rd., Blackstone, VA 23824.
