Barbara King Benedict

Barbara King Benedict passed away on March 19, 2025. She was born in Crewe, Virginia on Sept. 21, 1935. Barbara was predeceased in life by her parents, Milton Samuel Benedict, Sr. and Willie Bee Benedict. Also, by her siblings, William Edward, Virginia, Milton, Jr., Dick, Jimmy, Kathleen, Muriel, and Hunter Joe. She was also predeceased by nephews and nieces, Johnny, Ellen, Bonnie, and Billy. She is survived by nieces and nephew, Mary, Kitsy, Jimmy, Jane, Pam, Libby, Cathy, and Becky. She has many great nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a graduate of Crewe High School and Longwood College. She was a retired Henrico County teacher. She enjoyed genealogy and was a member of several organizations. Barbara loved Scottish Highland Dancing and was a member of a dance group.

The family would like to thank the staff of Spring Arbor Senior Living and Crater Community Hospice for their wonderful care.

There will be a graveside service on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 1:00 pm, at the Crewe Cemetery.
