Antionette “Annette” Marmol Anderson, 75, of Jetersville, VA, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024. She loved her family and loved life, always had a smile on her face, and rarely left the house without her lipstick on.
Throughout her lifetime, Annette worked many jobs and spent many volunteer hours, all with the goal of service to others. She worked many full-time and part-time jobs as an Administrative Assistant. Some of her jobs included helping her husband, Marvin, with his business, and working with Hopewell Social Services. She retired as an Estimator from Signs Unlimited. As a volunteer, Annette spent her time and talents organizing an emergency relief program, working with the Hopewell Food Pantry, and also volunteering with Hopewell Social Services. Most recently, Annette has been volunteering with Open Arms Adult Center in Amelia and planning monthly luncheons for her mother-in-law and her aunts. More than anything, she cherished her time as a foster parent.
Annette was a lifelong member of First Christian Church-Hopewell where she served as a Church Clerk, a Member of Diaconate, and a Board Member. She was also a member of and chaired various committees within the church. She loved music and was part of the choir for many years. She was also part of a contemporary Christian musical group, Praises, for over 15 years.
She leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Marvin W. Anderson; her mother-in-law, Eula Anderson; brothers-in-law, Bobby Lane and Ray Anderson, Jr. (KC); sister-in-law, Virginia Anderson; nieces and nephew, Pennie Lane Taylor, Katie Cordani (Matt), and Andy Anderson (Mandy); great-nephews and great-nieces Wade, Zane and Nathan Taylor, Morgan, Cameron and Mariah Cordani, Brody, Violet and Eli Anderson.
