Annie Lee Lewis Williams, 78, of Baltimore Corner and Ford, VA, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
She was affectionately known as Sister by many who knew her. She was the daughter of the late Walter Benjamin and Alice Boisseau Lewis and also preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Spec Williams, Sr., brother, Walter L. Poodley Lewis, and sister, Nancy Echols Adcock.
Annie Lee was a graduate of Midway High School and then began her long career and service for the citizens of Dinwiddie County. She worked in the Commissioner of Revenues office, worked as Deputy Clerk for 21 years, afterward for 32 years as the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Dinwiddie County, and retired with 55 years of continuous and dedicated service to the Commonwealth of Virginia.
She is survived by her only son, Robert A. Bob Williams, Jr. of Ford; grandson, Ryan L. Williams of Richmond; granddaughter, Brooke S. Williams; great-grandson, Cameron Lisse, both of Daina Beach, FL; cousins, nieces, nephews; and her loving and most devoted friend, Debbie Marston of Dinwiddie.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M., Thursday, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road (Bus. Hwy. 460) near Blackstone. Graveside funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, at Hawkins Memorial Presbyterian Church, 7816 White Oak Road, Ford, VA 23850.
