Anna Eschig Bingham

Anna E. Bingham, 79, of Blackstone, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009.

She was born in Vienna, Austria and met and married her late husband of 30 years, William E. Bingham and they moved to Blackstone in 1964. Anna worked at the Blackstone Restaurant for many years.

They shared eight children: William E. Bingham, Jr. (Pattie) of Crewe, A.G. Ike Bingham (Mikiala) of Crewe, Angie Wyatt (Harry) of Farmville; Bobby Bingham (Marie) of Farmville, Ricky Bingham of Blackstone; Susan Noblin (Tommie) of Blackstone, Patty Hammonds (Jerry) of Arizona and Sammy Bingham (Shannon) of Blackstone; 18 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Gunther Eschig and two half-sisters, all of Austria.

Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at St. Marks Methodist Church Cemetery, Crewe. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Tuesday, April 7, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd. (Bus. 460), near Blackstone.
