Andy Michael Chambers

Andy Michael Chambers, 53, of Burkeville, VA, passed away at home on Monday, December 2, 2024.  He is survived by his wife, Missy Cawley Chambers; daughter, Courtney Marie Chambers; mother, Janet Van Cleef Chambers; stepson, Trevor Scott Hazelwood; father-in-law, David Cawley; his brothers, Chris Chambers (Carol) and Timmy Chambers (Melissa); and his sister-in-law, Jennifer Austin (Jimmy).  He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Ray Chambers; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Doris Van Cleef; paternal grandparents, Harry and Courtney Chambers. 

He was a good-hearted, hardworking man, and excellent equipment mechanic.  Andy was a former rail team supervisor for CSX Railroad Transportation and was a heavy equipment mechanic for Luck Stone for 17 years.  He enjoyed NASCAR, loved fishing, and was an avid gun enthusiast.  Andy enjoyed company with his family and friends and most of all loved his family. 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the Blackstone Chapel of Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Blackstone, VA  23824.  Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Friday, December 6, 2024 in the Crewe Baptist Church, 400 E.
