Alton Ray Hill

Alton Ray Hill, 86, of Amelia Courthouse, VA, passed away peacefully at his home and surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.  Alton enjoyed farming, archery and making furniture.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joanne B. Hill; a brother, Billy Hill (Violet) of Richmond; a nephew and six nieces.  Alton was preceded in death by his parents, Millard Fillmore and Carrie Mills Hill; a sister, Margaret H. Martin and brothers, Richard and Bernard F. Hill. 

The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until the time of funeral services at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 in the Jetersville Baptist Church, 6440 Amelia Springs Rd., Jetersville, VA, 23083.  Burial will take place in Little Flock Cemetery.  The family requests no flowers but donations made in memory of Alton to Jetersville Baptist Church, John Birch Society or to the Amelia Co.
