Allan Carter

Allan Carter, born July 4, 1939, passed away at his home in Blackstone on Thursday, March 31, 2011.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patsy; a son, Kevin Carter and his wife, Ethel, of Richmond; six grandchildren, Allison, Joshua, Daniel, Noah, Anna and Gabrielle.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Memorial services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Blackstone Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Myles Beck and Rev. Rob Brown will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blackstone Baptist Church, Building and Grounds Fund, 405 S. Main Street, Blackstone, VA 23824.
