Agnes Wilma McAllister Phillips, 90, of Blackstone, VA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 15, 2008.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard Loyd Phillips; seven children, Richard Edward Phillips, Sr. of Crewe, Ruth Phillips Witt and husband, Jack of Scottsville, James Lee Phillips and wife, Janet of Jetersville, Joseph David Phillips of Blackstone, Katherine Phillips Dodson of Scottsville, Charles Clifton Phillips of Crewe and Shirley Mae Phillips of Scottsville.
Mrs. Phillips also leaves to cherish her memory, a sister, Phyllis Copeland of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Chrystan Bunch, Ammie Witt, Bonnie Harver, Richard Phillips, Jr., Timmy Anders and Stephanie Green; and her 12 great grandchildren, Rose Bunch, Victoria Bunch, Robert Bunch, Kayla Harver, Dylan Phillips, Cody Anders, Justin Anders, Haley Anders, Kara Green and Jenna Green.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ethel Moore McAllister, a baby boy and daughter, Mary Agnes Phillips.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Road, Bus. Hwy. 460, north of Blackstone.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at Jonesboro Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Gordon Lee and Rev. Dr. Leroy Bradshaw officiating.
