Adeline Tucker Boisseau, 91, of Solomons Retirement Community, Solomons, MD, died Saturday, September 25, 2010, after a brief illness. She was the widow of Robert Boisseau.
Adeline was the daughter of the late Marshall Clifton Tucker and Alberta Powell Tucker of McKenney, VA. She graduated from Sunnyside-McKenney High School and attended James Madison University. During her school years, she was a good athlete, excelling in basketball. Adeline loved horses and enjoyed horseback riding with her girlfriends. In later years, she and her late husband, Robert, enjoyed traveling overseas and had happy camping trips throughout the United States with friends from the Airstream Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Bender of Hernando, FL; a sister, Birdie Mae Manning of Virginia Beach, VA, and a brother, Theodore Tucker of Ahoskie, NC. Surviving grandchildren are Jennifer Capece of Baltimore, MD; Robert Bender of Orlando, FL; and Brittany Renwick of San Diego, CA. Great-granddaughters are Caleigh and Skylar Bender of Orlando, FL.
Visitation and viewing will be held from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Bott Memorial Presbyterian Church, 17113 McKenney Ave., DeWitt, VA. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with burial in the church cemetery.
